AMI will work with Nest to ensure that our factory meets the highest international safety standards while still operating at maximum capacity.
Nest is a nonprofit dedicated to identifying and collaborating with responsible artisan businesses through the provision of customized capacity building programs to enable each enterprise to become profitable and have a significant positive social impact. Nest searches globally to identify a network of existing artisanal workshops that have strong leadership, are scalable, and can transform their communities in one of three ways: alleviate poverty, empower women, and promote peace. Through a participatory model, Nest works with the artisans to provide the services they need to both preserve and enhance artistic traditions and increase their ability to meet the capacity and quality demands of the exporting marketplace
AMI will work with development academics at NYU to conduct monitoring and evaluation studies of AMI in order to track the social and economic impact of the initiative. With the help of NYU, we can develop case studies to promote and replicate successes and identify best practices.
